School purpose

« Back to Glossary Index

When referring to the music licences, a school purpose is a purpose which the school undertakes as part of its usual activities, provided it is non-commercial. For example:

  • providing educational services or religious services for staff, students and members of the school’s community as part of normal school activities
  • engaging with members of the school community
  • promoting students’ work
  • school events.

Private music tuition is not a school purpose.
