1.14 Statutory Licence Schemes

The Copyright Act also provides specific Statutory Licence schemes for educational use of copyright material. These uses are paid for by schools and TAFE institutes.

The two relevant Statutory Licence schemes are:

  • Statutory Broadcast Licence: copying and communication of free-to-air broadcasts

  • Statutory Text and Artistic Licence: copying and communication  of text and artistic works
